Gase Family Weekend

Who's ready for 293487239 pictures of my insanely adorable children????  If you're not, you might want to skip this post.  Seriously folks, it's not for the faint of heart.  I made some painfully cute boys.  And I'm not partial at all.

Brian's family was in town this past weekend.  His sister turns the big 3-0 this week, and her hubby decided to throw her a surprise party.  So Brian's parents flew in to celebrate and came in a few days early to spend some time with us first.

Brian's parents & the boys

Brian took half of the day Thursday and all day Friday off of work.  On Thursday afternoon, we headed over to my in-laws' hotel to play in the pool.  Both sets of grandparents have been informed that when choosing a hotel to stay in, they must have a pool for Brennan.  The boy is a fish.  It was the babies' first time in a pool and they both seemed to enjoy it too.

Mr. Beckett is going to be a water baby just like his big brother.

On Friday, Brennan, Brian, and his parents headed to the zoo while the twins and I headed to an appointment.  We're so lucky to have such an incredible zoo near us.  It's not huge, but it's set up well and has tons of opportunities to interact with animals.  Then they headed over to Squid Lips (one of our favorite local restaurants) for some lunch on the beach.

Friday evening we headed to Orlando for the birthday party.  She was surprised to have a party and even more surprised to see her parents in town.  We left the party after a few hours to head to the hotel to get the boys in bed.  I was nervous to be staying in a hotel room with all three boys, but it actually went much smoother than I anticipated.  My boys often prove to me that I get too anxious about situations.  I really did luck out with 3 great babies.

The next morning, after a quick breakfast, we headed back to the space coast for a day at the beach.  I love having my sister-in-law around because she takes amazing pictures (and I kinda like her too).  You can totally tell the difference between her photos and ours!  The boys had a blast at the beach.  Brennan loved playing with Daddy and Grandpa and the babies were very content all day.

Saturday night we planned to go out with Brian's sister and brother-in-law to celebrate St. Patrick's day.  Instead, we all stayed in with his parents.  We played games and drank homemade vodka and got sleepy by 11:00 p.m.

The next morning we went to my first 5K, grabbed some breakfast, then walked around the local Strawberry festival.  We spent the afternoon lounging on the back porch, watching Brennan run around the back yard, and enjoyed the beautiful breeze.  Poor Brennan cried when his Grandpa left.  Later he declared that he wanted to go to Michigan to see Grandpa.  It made me sad for him, but excited for the fun he'll have when he's older and gets to go spend time with all of his grandparents to escape the Florida heat in the summer.  I have great memories of going to Arizona to visit my grandparents as a kid, and I know he'll be just as excited to head to Michigan.

It was a nice, but insanely busy weekend.  I'm excited to get back on schedule and return to normal life.  But also excited for my parents and sister to visit in April!

I write for me. 100%. BUT it definitely makes my day when someone tells me that they enjoy reading my blog. Or that they hate it. Whatev.

So don't spare me your words of wisdom, encouragement, or mindless babble. I enjoy it all :)
